01;Jangbokgu and Kimaram

Friday, January 21, 2011 10:15 AM

Jang Bokgu and Kim Aram. These two people had never met, not even once, yet are standing in front of one another. Curiosity lurked within themselves, wondering who this other person was and why they stood before them. Between them laid a black leather notebook, which was neatly placed on a maple wood table. Their eyes curiously looked down at the notebook then back up, taking long glances at the one across from them.
“Who the hell are you?” Bokgu demanded.
Jang Bokgu was known in Seoul for his brutal attacks on innocent citizens as he was the unofficial leader for an unruly group of high school students. Under constant surveillance from the Seoul Police Department, Bokgu went into temporary hiding in hopes to shake the police off his trail.
Aram looked at him with indifference, “Aram.”
Kim Aram was a wallflower. Attention was not in her interest as she strayed away from anything that caught one’s eye. The only thing that gave her the slightest bit of attention was her photos. Aram goes to the farthest extent to get that perfect photo and doing so, she gets the recognition for it. It was bittersweet to her but for the sake of her loved hobby, she put up with the occasional spot light.

Little Black Notebook is going to be my mini project as I work on Ajusshi. This new coming prose is going to consist of mutliple drabble-like pieces, slow updating and little thought. I have also decided to attempt to make Ajusshi a one piece prose instead of my usual mutliple, long pieced prose.
In most cases, I post a pieceon multiple sites but I'm really considering to keep Ajusshi and Little Black Notebook both here in the confindes of my homey blog. I hope, if you by chance stumble upon my works, an interest sparks and peaks your interest.

Little Black Notebook
By Susan Taylor
Started: January 18, 2011
Ended: N/A
Featuring: Nongasoos
Genre: Lil’ bit of everything

That petit face was always hidden behind the camera lens. That masculine body was never covered by cloth. Two different people came together by a simple black notebook. It was a notebook of wonders, secrets and dark truths. That little black notebook held their destinies together as they figured out their inner strife.

Thank's Lucifer (you can find her link in the Misc. section) for making the simple yet chic layout for me! I just recently had a conversation with my sister about what our favorite Miyazaki film was after her sudden obsession with Howl's Moving Castle. It got me to think that out of all of Miyazaki's works, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind had been the most favorable for me. With the adorable yet colossal Ohm and the great adventure filled plot, I throughly enjoyed it. I don't know if it was the mysterious toxic forest or the cute Asbel that helped Nausicaä save humanity from Lady Kushana.
Anyway, enough with the film ranting. Let's get down to some business. Ajusshi is still in the progress of being thought out. I'll post something up whenever I have something solid thought out, as in chapter wise. I'm still trying to complete the links and formatting everything.

"You're gonna go undercover." he blatantly stated.

I stared at him in awe, "What? I'm not even a cop, let alone the age to be one. I just turned nineteen."

The older man cleared his throat as he moved closer to the table we were sitting in front of, "Well, to us, you don't look a day past sixteen. You could really help us to crack this case and prevent anymore innocent girls from being hurt."

I looked around the dingy interrogation room. It wasn't as intimidating as I thought it'd be but maybe that's because they are trying to persuade me instead of threatening me. The lights above were blinking and making an irritating buzz as an officer in the corner of the room was snapping his gum. The air was tense as the man in front of me was watching me carefully as if I'd pull a switchblade out and start swinging it at him.

"What if I don't want to? What if I just want to go back home?"

He leaned back in his chair once again, letting out a deep sigh, "That would cause a problem for me. Listen, I really need you to do this for me."

He turned his attention to the officer in the corner, "Get out."

The gum snapper officer looked at him, bowed, then left the room. The older man looked at me again, "What's you're name again?"

I hesitantly answered, "Yoojin."

He crunched his brows together then nodded his head, "You're that American girl the CEO of some music company adopted a while back aren't you? Anyway, I've been tracking these guys for the past three years and, with you're help, I finally have the chance to trap them and give them what they deserve. What do you say? Huh?"

I quickly shook my head, "No. No way. This has nothing to do with me, so why should I risk myself?"

The man slid a folder in front of me, "Look."

I looked at the folder with a skeptical eye then hesitantly opened it. The image were graphic; there were young girls with their eyes stitched shut, missing limbs, huge gashes over their bodies. My eyes grew wide. He wanted me to help him when I could easily end up like them? Was he like every other Korean out there? Does he want me dead too?

"Let me tell you a story. A few years ago, one of my comrade's neighbor's daughter was kidnapped. He went crazy looking for her; stayed out for days and couldn't find a single lead on her case. Then suddenly  a note was left on his door with an address on it. Obviously, he went there and was ambushed by the guys I'm trailing now. They gave me a ring and demanded I gave them collateral for busting one of their drug tradings with the threat of killing me comrade if I didn't. Of course I went but they had already took the organs out of his body and left him dead on the floor. All they left was a cell phone. Do you understand where I'm getting at?"
